The Islanders look to reverse their slide against a team on a roll.

The New York Islanders are hoping to prevent their slipup from becoming a slide against a team that has yet to lose.

The Colorado Avalanche visit Elmont with a 5-0 record and on a regular season road win streak that dates back to season, and apparently can break some sort of record.

So, good luck to everyone. Good luck to Anders Lee as he returns to the top line. Good luck to J-G Pageau as he centers a couple of young pups. Good luck to Ilya Sorokin, who will probably have to be a first star if the Islanders are to stop the Avs and grab a win.

NOTE: Tonight is an 8 p.m. start for some reason. Not sure if that’s because the league has all 32 teams in action tonight, so the Toronto war room needs some time to breathe.

Prediction: The Islanders somehow scrape by through 60 minutes of regulation only to lose in a really boring overtime.
