The New York Islanders tonight host the Philadelphia Flyers. It will be their first game after acquiring Kyle Palmieri and Travis Zajac from the New Jersey Devils, and both new guys will be in the lineup. In fact, they’ll start on the same line, centered by fellow new-ish guy Jean-Gabriel Pageau.
Oliver Wahlstrom, unfortunately, will take a seat tonight. Though perhaps he is a little banged up, too. He left last Saturday’s game against the Flyers after getting hurt as Philadelphia scored its first goal and also briefly left the game during the first period Tuesday night against the Washington Capitals. He returned both times, but I guess the feeling is if he’s at all hurt, rather than force him to play through an injury, let top-line Leo Komarov continue.
Ilya Sorokin is in net. Okay, the game has started, here we go!
