The Islanders are at Madison Square Garden for the first half of a home-and-home that will close out these teams’ season series and potentially all but seal the East Division’s playoff entries.
The seeding is still up in the air and the Rangers still have a chance to push the Bruins or Isles out, but it would take a major swing, even with the Islanders’ recent funk. The Rangers enter the night five points behind the Isles and four points behind the Bruins, with one and two more games played than those two, respectively.
Looks like Johnston, Zajac, Aho and Schneider will be #isles scratches; both Dobson and Coburn take warmups.

Semyon Varlamov for the #Isles vs. Igor Shesterkin for the #NYR

Just play the games and see where it all goes, we’re in that phase of the season.
