Mike and Dan recap the Islanders two tough losses to the Capitals, the team’s recent struggles and a win against the Rangers.
They recount, in gory detail, all of the ways the Islanders are currently failing and how pathetic they looked against a Capitals squad they could see again in the playoffs. They also talk about a win against the Rangers that reminded them of just how good the Islanders can be when they’re on their game.
After emptying their tanks, they somehow segue into begging their way into a tour of the UBS Arena construction, Martin Scorsese’s views on hockey, the Islanders’ official podcast and fun facts they didn’t know about Bob Nystrom.
