Islanders B2B Gameday News: Dal Colle back, Penguins still annoying

The Isles fall in extra time to the Penguins again, and face them tonight again.

It felt like the Islanders left points on the table again against the Penguins. It felt like they had the better of play but some penalties and some misfortune and a good knuckler of a shot and the Penguins win again.

But the Isles got a point, and they have another shot against Pittsburgh tonight at the Coliseum. I think this is meeting #6 but who’s counting? It’s all a dream.

As a reminder, tonight is a 5 p.m. EST start. Leave your First Islanders Goal picks for tonight here.

“We had opportunities in the second to pull away and we weren’t able to. You just stick with it, collect points, and at the end of the day you hope we have enough. [...] At the end of the day we took too many penalties. At 5-on-5 we’re in pretty good shape.”
