Mike and Dan sift through the ashes of a week in which the Islanders lost four games and how many of their long-standing problems remain.
They discuss gut punch losses to the Capitals, the mental breakdowns that led to horrendous periods, the lineup decisions they don’t understand and how the Islanders managed to right themselves... just in time to lose twice in overtime to the Flyers. They also talk about how the lack of a powerplay, unaddressed holes in the lineup and salary cap issues continue to give the Islanders a razor thin margin for error.
Later, they look ahead to games against the Sabres and Penguins, lament “horseshoe up the ass teams” and select a first ever Islanders eBay Swag winner.
Don’t forget to leave a review at iTunes and include your Twitter handle for a shot at winning an Islanders eBay item. Congrats to our first winner, @stuffcarldoes! Can’t wait to see what your eBay prize is.
