The latest episode of Lighthouse Lookback features my chat with Graeme Towmnshend, the first Jamaican-born player in the NHL. The forward played 45 games over four seasons in the league with the Boston Bruins, New York Islanders and Ottawa Senators.
Townshend signed with the Islanders prior to the 1991-92 season. The forward appeared in nine games over two seasons on the Island.
Graeme played the bulk of the time for the Capital District Islanders under Butch Goring. Townshend scored 43 goals and 87 points in his two seasons in the AHL.
Graeme fills me in on what he is doing these days.
