It feels a little different — a 1 p.m. start, in Brooklyn, after a 10-day layoff — but the New York Islanders are finally back.
Not much breathing room in the standings nor excuses among the staff for a rust-shaking start. But the visitors, the Vancouver Canucks, have already played since the All-Star break, having beaten the Blues and the Sharks in regulation this week.
Tough task ahead for the home team.
Asked Barry Trotz if it's an advantage for #Isles to play 3 straight at Barclays rather hopping between rinks: "I don’t know if it’s an advantage or not. But I know in the Coliseum we haven’t been that good lately so it’s probably an advantage getting out of there, hopefully."
