Mike and Dan review the NHL Awards, the Islanders 2019 draft class and where the club stands as free agency approaches.
They brave the awful television presentations to see two Islanders take home some hardware, and some (possible) future Islanders emerge. In the second half, they discuss the re-signing of Jordan Eberle and the lack of re-signing (so far) of Anders Lee and Robin Lehner. Finally, they respond to some reasonable concerns about the Belmont arena project.
They also joke about offer-sheeting Mitch Marner and how Leafs fans could find his (and Kawhi Leonard’s) contract situation funny if any of them had a sense of humor or irony.
There will be an episode next week to close out the season and talk about the early bird free agents. Thanks for listening.
