The New York Islanders announced their 2019 preseason schedule, with seven games between Sept. 16 and Sept. 28.
It includes three “home” games spread across three venues: Sept. 17 against the Philadelphia Flyers at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Sept. 23 against the Red Wings at Nassau Coliseum, and a finale against the Rangers on Sept. 28 at Webster Bank in Bridgeport, home of their AHL affiliate, the Sound Tigers.
Per usual, the Philadelphia Flyers are a repeat opponent...though not as frequent as past years at least?
Only two games against the Flyers this year, down from 17 last preseason. https://t.co/HoMNQ4o1xr

Overall, it goes like this:
- Monday, Sept. 16, vs. the Flyers in Philadelphia
- Tuesday, Sept. 17, vs. the Flyers in Brooklyn
- Friday, Sept. 20, vs. the Red Wings in Detroit
- Saturday, Sept. 21, vs. the Devils in Newark
- Monday, Sept. 22, vs. the Red Wings in Nassau
- Tuesday, Sept. 23, vs. the Rangers at Madison Square Garden
- Saturday, Sept. 28, vs. the Rangers in Bridgeport
That last one likely provides a chance to make final cuts and leave some AHL assignees behind in Bridgeport, but we’ll cross that bridge in September.
Per the official announcement, you can already purchase tickets for Sept. 28 in Bridgeport online or by calling 1-800-745-3000. Info on tickets for the other two home games will be released soon along with regular season info.
