The New York Islanders stay in New York as they head to Buffalo to take on the Buffalo Sabres. The Islanders have won three straight and are 7-1-2 in their last ten and sit in first place in the Metropolitan. The Sabres have fallen a fair amount and are 4-5-1 in their last ten and are outside of a playoff spot.
Robin Lehner is likely to get the start against his former club. He was the first off the ice for practices today. Thomas Greiss has been masterful since the All-Star break, so look for him to get a start soon enough. This is likely more of a chance for Lehner to show what he’s done since leaving Buffalo.
Cal Clutterbuck is likely to be back in with no other lineup changes taking place. That leaves Tom Kuhnhackl, Ross Johnston, and Luca Sbisa in the press box. Thomas Hickey and Andrew Ladd are also reportedly very close.
Game time is at 7:00 P.M. E.S.T.
