Tonight in Los Angeles the New York Islanders get to do something they haven’t done in over a month: try to respond to a regulation loss.
Nick Leddy is a game-time decision (Noah Dobson would play if he’s deemed unfit to go), while Semyon Varlamov will mind the net opposite Jonathan Quick. By warmups, it looked like Leddy would be out:

Note that the above lines would repudiate the morning thought of some possible line remixing, with Jordan Eberle dropped from the top line (slotted next to Otto Koivula and Michael Dal Colle, which likely bumps Ross Johnston back out of the lineup) and Josh Bailey back up there with Mathew Barzal and Anders Lee.
At any rate, it looks like that’s not happening. But if things don’t start off right then perhaps we see some version of all that.
