The Islanders visit the Ducks for their 2nd game of their California trip and their 22nd game overall. The Islanders, of course, bring with them a franchise-record 17-game point streak.
It will be a match-up of two great goalies in Thomas Greiss (goalie rotation in tact) and Anaheim’s John Gibson (who, by the regular numbers, isn’t doing so hot this season).
Thomas Greiss (9-1-0, 2.07 GAA, .934 save pct) for #Isles vs. John Gibson (7-10-1, 3.02, .908) for #Ducks as teams on the ice for warmups here in Anaheim

It is not entirely known who will line up next Josh Bailey and Michael Dal Colle tonight.
Ross Johnston took the second rush with Bailey and Dal Colle.

Leo was back for the third rotation. https://t.co/eS6YR1Dn33
Either way, though, it appears that Otto Koivula will not be dressing tonight, and Bailey will line up at center. It’s a position he hasn’t played much, but it was, at one point, his natural position. Not a bad night to give it another shot.
