The New York Islanders haven’t ended a night without a standings point since {checks calendar} Oct. 11. They’ve gone 11-0-1 during that span. It’s been kind of nice.
Tonight they welcome back Leo Komarov, the former Maple Leaf who played during the first three games of this streak.
Otto Koivula was recalled (again) but will not play (again), as he was among the “extra work during morning skate” group along with Noah Dobson and the Ghost of Andrew Ladd.
To confirm: Fs Otto Koivula and Andrew Ladd and D Noah Dobson remain on the ice after #Isles morning skate. They will not play tonight vs. #Leafs, Leo Komarov returns to the lineup today.

Ladd must still be activated off LTIR in order to rejoin the lineup.
Speaking of those recovering from knee surgery, Zach Hyman is expected to make his season debut tonight after recovering from an ACL injury.
Jason Spezza is expected to be a scratch. Also, if you somehow have not heard, the Leafs will be without Mitch Marner, who suffered a high-ankle sprain.
But the Leafs haven’t lost all their good players: They still have a pretty good former Islanders captain in their mix at center.
