The Islanders and Jets will do battle once again, this time in bucolic Winnipeg. At least they’re there this Thursday; according to the seven-day forecast, next Thursday will be 36 degrees Fahrenheit. To wit, it will still be October then.
But anyway, Semyon Varlamov was the first goalie off the ice this morning, so he will probably be in the nets when the teams take the ice at MTS Centre.

Connor Hellebuyck will oppose him.
It sounds like the Isles will send out the same lineup as last game, which means Noah Dobson and Matt Martin will be up in the press box and that we still get Tom Kuhnhackl, first liner.

I still think it would be fun to see Oliver Wahlstrom up on the top line instead, but maybe that is Barry Trotz’s plan eventually.
Here’s your last chance at FIGs. Puck drop is at 8:00 p.m.
You can catch the game on MSG+ or on WRHU 88.7.
