ESPN’s Linda Cohn calls in to the Isles Buzz Podcast to discuss her new show, In The Crease, which will be aired on ESPN+. Linda talks about why she loved what the Isles did this offseason. Dan Petriw and I make Linda NHL Commissioner for the day. She tells us what she would do to better to market the game.

There are quite a few Islanders prospects in the World Junior Summer Showcase, we talk about who has stood out so far.

Dan came across this story on Twitter. Ethan is a 9 year old Ballymena boy who, at the age of 18 months, was diagnosed with the terminal life limiting illness Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a muscle wasting disorder that wastes the muscles away, by the age of approximately 10, Ethan will require to utilise full time a manual wheelchair due to the loss of power in his legs and, by early teens, Ethan will require the use of a powered wheelchair due to the loss of power in his arm muscles, Ethan’s life expectancy is currently mid to late teens. Currently there is NO CURE or TREATMENT for DMD. It is 100% fatal.

Team McClean is firstly a family and also an assisted running team made up of family and friends who are able bodied runners pushing Ethan along in a specialist Hoyt running chair. Ethan also has a huge love of Ice hockey his number 1 team being the Belfast Giants. Also likes the NHL team the Pittsburgh Penguins. He also enjoys cars, even though it’s likely he will never drive one his favourite is a red Ferrari. He has the biggest smile and is such a character bringing a smile to most people he meets.

Lets make this happen for Ethan. If you have any pucks you wish to donate, please follow him on Twitter.
