The New York Islanders head to Nevada for their first and last trip of the season against the Vegas Golden Knights. The Islanders will be looking to avoid the “Vegas flu” and come away with a victory against the team with the fourth best points percentage at home in the NHL. Meanwhile, Vegas will be looking to even the franchise win-loss record against the Islanders at two and two.

Thomas Greiss is back in net for the Islanders. Both goalies have been above average this season, but Greiss has the better numbers and Barry Trotz has never been a fan of splitting starts. With that said, Greiss has faded a bit and could use to get going.

Devon Toews had been recalled from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers leading many to believe he would get the nod tonight. Alas, that is not the case as the Islanders are rolling with the same lineup that got them a victory against the Arizona Coyotes. There was some early speculation that Toews would never go back down, but with Thomas Hickey already practicing Toews will probably have to show the big club a lot in a relatively short period of time if he hopes to stick.
