The New York Islanders are back at home as they take on the Vegas Golden Knights. It’s game 30 of the season, but the first game with Joshua Ho-Sang on the Ice. That’s probably the biggest story in this one in what is otherwise an out-of-Conference game on a random Wednesday night in December.
The Islanders are hoping to get back into the win column. They played quite well against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday, but ultimately just fell short by a score of two to one in the shootout. Robin Lehner was excellent in that one and will get the start once again tonight.
Leo Komarov and Tom Kuhnhackl are both out of commission, thus why Ho-Sang’s presence is required. He’ll be on the third line with Valtteri Filppula and Ross Johnston. Some had speculated that Luca Sbisa would get a shot against his former team - fortunately that’s not the case as the defense will stay the same.
Game time is at 7:00 P.M. E.S.T.
