The New York Islanders take on the Montreal Canadiens on home ice tonight. The Islanders enter this contest in first place, but that could potentially change if they lose in regulation and the Pittsburgh Penguins defeat the New Jersey Devils, so a win here would be pretty cool. Montreal is only a point behind the Islanders, but has alternated wins and losses in their last six contests.
Thomas Greiss starts in net once again for the New York Islanders. Greiss has been stellar thus far and comes in at fifth in dSV% in five-on-five situations and overall and just had a shutout against the Devils in his last game. Robin Lehner returned on Saturday, but is still on the bench as Greiss seems to have taken over a bit.
No other changes will be made to the lineup. Tom Kuhnhackl was recalled from Bridgeport where he played one game and had two goals and an assist, but he’s still on the bench in this one. Matt Martin is still out with a lower body injury while Luca Sbisa is a healthy scratch.
Game time is at 7:00 P.M. E.S.T.
