The Islanders don’t play tonight and there’s definitely no other sporting events across the New York Metropolitan area Cough Buffalo Sabres at New York rangers, Philadelphia 76ers at Brooklyn Nets, New York Jets at Miami Dolphins Cough, so why not have a Sound Tigers Thread?

The Sound Tigers are outside of a playoff spot, but just defeated a team that hadn’t had a regulation loss this season in the Springfield Thunderbirds and did so pretty handedly - five to two was the final in that one. A win tonight against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins would tie the two teams in points, though the Penguins would still have a game in hand. Christopher Gibson is probably in net tonight.

Tom Kuhnhackl was sent down and hasn’t been returned to the Islanders just yet, but he was the driving force in last night’s victory. Kuhnhackl netted two goals and had an assist last night which helped to power the Sound Tigers’ way to victory. Unfortunately, he’s not active in this one. Michael Dal Colle, Joshua Ho-Sang, and Mike Sislo also had a goal and an assist each.

Game time is at 3:00 P.M. E.S.T.
