The New York Islanders are back at home and looking to regain first place as they take on the New Jersey Devils. The Islanders are currently tied in points with the Pittsburgh Penguins, but Pittsburgh currently has a game in hand. The Devils were a surprising playoff team last season, but they’ve struggled so far this year with the second fewest points in the Metropolitan (albeit with the fewest games played).

Matt Martin was visibly injured in the Islanders last game and he won’t play in this one. Ross Johnston is getting the nod in place of him on the left side of Cizikas and Clutterbuck. Tom Kuhnhackl is still down with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, so the lone healthy scratch in this contest is Luca Sbisa as Christopher Gibson was sent back down today.

Thomas Greiss is getting the start in this one. Robin Lehner was activated, but will be on the bench. Lehner has a delta save percentage that’s .02 percent higher than Greiss’ in five-on-five play, but Greiss has exceeded Lehner’s overall delta save percentage by .97 percent.

Game time starts at 7:00 P.M. E.S.T.
