In an uncanny journey into mystery, Mike and Dan discuss the Islanders recent trip through Florida and return game against Vancouver, in which they played well enough to win all three but only came away with one victory.
They also look ahead to the first game against the Rangers this season, and remember some rivalry games of the past. Finally, they pay tribute to the legendary Stan Lee and debut the new Moment of Trotz segment, while a listener shout out leads to a culinary tour of Long Island.
Needless to say, this was recorded before this morning’s wave of IR announcements and recalls.

- Trotz’s post game scrum from the Lightning game that inspired the new Moment of Trotz segment. Turns out the quote is actually, “That’s why the details are so important,” but the point still stands.
- Two Islanders-Rangers games we mentioned were the infamous Chris Simon-Ryan Hollweg incident and the equally as infamous (and much less dangerous) Tommy Salo-Dan Cloutier incident.
- Here’s that eulogy of Stan Lee I mentioned from Vulture.com.
