Well the New York Islanders are back on the ice to take on the league leader in points percentage, the Vegas Golden Knights. They know they're in for a tight matchup and have... dressed nearly the worst looking lineup possible. All that's missing is a Dennis Seidenberg.
Hockey is in large part a games of randoms so perhaps there's a chance in this one, but mixing Tanner Fritz, Ross Johnston, and Alan Quine on different lines is certainly feels like a recipe for disaster. This is getting rather tiresome - a quality head coach stuck in this situation would have the three of them on one line and limit their minutes, but that's not the case here. The top two lines will have their work cut out for them in this one.
Jaroslav Halak will be the starter in tonight's contest. He'll go up against Marc-Andre Fleury for the Golden Knights. Fleury is 11th in adjusted save percentage out of goalies with at least 10 starts - he'll be tested tonight by the Islanders who are the league's P.D.O. kings.
