Islanders vs. Sabres [preseason game thread]

New, comments

It’s Friday night hockey, and you’re all invited.

In their second-to-last preseason game, the New York Islanders are in Buffalo to meet the Sabres at Whatever The Hell They Call It Now Arena.

Jaroslav Halak, who’s given up one goal on 57 shots so far, is set to start and get the whole game.

Brock Nelson, Johnny Boychuk and Jason Chimera will rest. Both Stephen Gionta and Steve Bernier, your designated Former Devils Whose Presence Concerns You, are in the lineup.

The Sabres, they have players too. Kyle Okposo and new waiver claim Jordan Nolan are in their lineup.

This ones at 7 p.m. EDT on MSG+. Check our friends at Die By The Blade for more on Buffalo.

Keys to the Game

  1. Don’t Get Hurt
  2. Do something to make them feel you’re a regular (Ryan Pulock)
  3. Make magical chemistry together (Tavares, Lee, Eberle)

What to Watch For

I don’t know, man. It’s preseason.
