We’re not stalkers, I assure you. But we know where Ryan Strome was on Friday night. He was in Erie, Pennsylvania, cheering on the Otters and his brother Dylan as they won the OHL championship with a 4-3 overtime win over the Mississauga Steelheads.
Ryan posted a few videos on his Twitter feed from the game, including a shot of Anthony Cirelli’s game-winning goal, which came off a rebound from Dylan.

Ryan also re-tweeted a video (with a better view) of Dylan receiving the J. Ross Robertson Cup. Strome the Younger, who captains the Otters, had three assists in the game.

The win punches Erie’s ticket to this year’s Memorial Cup tournament in Windsor, Ontario. They’ll be up against the hometown Spitfires, the QMJHL champion Saint John Seadogs and the winner of the WHL final, where Ryan Strome’s Islanders teammate Mathew Barzal and the Seattle Thunderbirds have a 3-2 lead on the Regina Pats.
Dylan was selected third overall by Arizona in the 2015 draft, four years after Ryan was taken fifth overall by the Islanders. The brothers faced each other in the Islanders’ 3-2 win over the Coyotes back in October. Ryan had a goal in that game and their mom was a little conflicted about how to react.
Probably no such issue last night in Erie. Congrats to the whole family.
