Entering the second half of their home-and-home weekend, the New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils are separated by just two points after the Devils’ 3-2 win in Newark Saturday.
The Islanders’ 62 points has them still one point behind the Maple Leafs and now two points behind the Boston Bruins, who hold the final wild card position in the Eastern Conference.
New Goalies
After dressing their #1s Saturday, both teams are dressing their backups tonight. Jean-Francois Berube gets his sixth start of the season for the Islanders, Keith Kinkaid gets his 15th start for the Devils.
Reports from both coaching staffs say the forward lineups will be the same, which means Mike Cammalleri remains a healthy scratch for the Devils.
Hynes says Kinkaid in goal, same lineup for NJD -- Cammalleri scratched again.

For the Islanders, Cal Clutterbuck, Shane Prince and Travis Hamonic remain injured. Doug Weight has said one defenseman is “banged up” so all seven available blueliners will skate in warmups, with gametime decision to come.
Food for Thought (and Angst)
Entering tonight, #Isles are 11-9-2 against eight teams in East playoff spots. 4-8-3 against seven teams outside of East playoff picture.
