Islanders News: Bailey, Halak, Barzal rattle the Sabres

NHL: Buffalo Sabres at New York Islanders
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...
Dennis Schneidler-USA TODAY Sports

It took me 1200 words last night to summarize the OT win over the Sabres, so I’ll try this morning with 100 words and some links:

The Islanders played well (bonus credit to the PK and Jaroslav Halak) for two periods but were stymied by Robin Lehner. Then the Sabres took over in the third with Kyle Okposo finally scoring the go-ahead. But Josh Bailey equalized after a great play by Tavares (video review was needed, Robin Lehner cried conspiracy), and Mathew Barzal needed one rush to win it in OT. Extra super bonus points to Halak throughout.
