Word came out this morning that hockey legend Gordie Howe has passed away at 88. Howe means so much to the sport and culture that his impact can never fully be comprehended. Even calling him a legend somehow doesn't seem like enough.
Here are reactions from the Islanders and players. Please stop by Winging it in Motown for more. Rest in Peace, Mr. Hockey.

Bill Torrey: "Gordie was bigger than most players, so his elbows were at a level that seemed to make contact with a lot of big noses."
