Watch: Tavares to Bailey in overtime gives Islanders a win in Calgary

Now get the hell out of the 'Dome.

Nice hook up.

Okay, so it wasn't perfect nor was it as confident as the game they played in Minnesota on Tuesday nor was it the stultifying snooze fest they played in New Jersey last Friday.

But the Islanders are now 3-0 on their current road trip after a 2-1 overtime win in Calgary on Thursday night. The game was 60 minutes of ragged skating, herky-jerky turnovers, defensive breakdowns, comical falling and fighting (for some reason). But the Islanders came out on top thanks a laser pass from John Tavares that found an open Josh Bailey, who roofed the puck past Flames goalie Joni Ortio with :17 seconds to go.

Behold in all it's gif-able glory:

Bailey OT Calgary

The Islanders barely had any business winning the game in regulation, and going to OT against the speedy Flames seemed like a recipe for disaster. Instead, it's on to Edmonton with points 72 and 73 on the season.
