For the second night in a row, the New York Islanders will have multiple changes to their lineup following a victory when they face the Capitals tonight in Washington.
Changing things up after a win is not something often associated with Jack Capuano, but there are reasons.
Dennis Seidenberg was activated from injured reserve today, with fellow defenseman Adam Pelech taking his place on the injured list, retroactive to Nov. 28. Seidenberg will play tonight against the Capitals in place of Scott Mayfield, himself an injury fill-in after Pelech was hurt against the Flames.
Alan Quine will also step back in for rookie Anthony Beauvillier.
And, as expected, Jaroslav Halak will start in goal after Thomas Greiss played last night.

The Other Guys
The Capitals haven’t played since Saturday night, an uglier-than-the-score 4-2 loss to the Maple Leafs in Toronto, so they will be looking to shake off the rust and the stench of losing in the Future Home Of Steve Stamkos/John Tavares/Connor McDavid.
This is the two teams’ second meeting of the season after a 2-1 Isles loss in the Capitals’ home opener.
