After a few days off, the Islanders preseason rolls on with a game against the (or at least, some) Washington Capitals at Bidgeport’s Webster Bank Arena, home of the Islanders’ AHL affiliate.
Puck drop is at or about 7 pm. The game will be broadcast on MSG2 via the CSN Mid-Atlantic feed.
The Islanders are coming off of a pair of split squad losses on Tuesday to the Rangers and Flyers. The Capitals should have Vezina winner Braden Holtby in net, as he returns from being Team Canada’s third string goalie at the World Cup of Hockey. Oh, and Jack Adams winner Barry Trotz will be back for the Caps, too.
Full rosters at the Islanders site. Mathew Barzal, Joshua Ho-Sang and Ryan Pulock are all in the lineup, as are Michael Dal Colle and Anthony Beauvillier. So you might wanna watch.
