The other end of this weekend's New York Islanders training camp roster moves is the group of players who trickle down to the AHL.
Their affiliate Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced a 43-player group for training camp, including all of the players the Islanders loaned out (or released from PTOs) as well as several additional invites. Here is that group:
Loaned to Bridgeport (20): Taylor Beck, Sebastian Collberg, Kevin Czuczman, Matt Finn, Justin Florek, Chris Gibson, Jesse Graham, Mike Halmo, Ben Holmstrom, Ross Johnston, Bracken Kearns, Loic Leduc, Scott Mayfield, Tom Nilsson, Adam Pelech, Alan Quine, Justin Vaive, Carter Verhaeghe, Joe Whitney, James Wright.
Released from Professional Tryout and join Sound Tigers camp (3): Tyler Barnes, Matt Carkner, Parker Milner.
AHL Contracted Players (9): Bryce Aneloski, Jared Gomes, Josh Holmstrom, Kane Lafranchise, C.J. Ludwig, Colin Markison, Jesse Root, Andrew Rowe, Sebastien Sylvestre.
AHL Professional Tryouts (11): Scott Allen, Patrick Cullity, Tanner Fritz, Andrew Johnston, Connor Jones, Kellen Jones, Dax Lauwers, Jason Missiaen, Danick Paquette, John Schiavo, Bennett Schneider.
As Michael Fornabaio notes in the CT Post, the Jones in that last group are the twins who played NCAA hockey at Quinnipiac.
Also of note: The group doesn't include Kevin Poulin. The 25-year-old goalie was claimed via waivers by the Tampa Bay Lightning, where he'll enter contention for a backup job while they await Andrei Vasilevskiy's return.
