Michal Neuvirth might not find the starting job he is hoping for, but the New York Islanders free agent goalie should at least find a nice salary in whatever backup/1A role he lands.
Before the free agency window kicked off, several teams were reportedly interested in him, including the Philadelphia Flyers and the Edmonton Oilers.

Karri Ramo ended up re-signing with the Flames for a handsome $3.9 million one-year deal, so that means the Oilers would remain one of the bidders. Though the Oilers already have two signed goalies in Cam Talbot and Ben Scrivens, word is that they would cast Scrivens away if another goalie were signed.

Indeed, Neuvirth signed with the Flyers. Meanwhile, the Islanders signed former Penguins goalie Thomas Greiss to replace him.
