From the author of "The best fourth line ever in hockey," comes a hilarious story of mistaken identity that you wish would have happened.
Don Cherry, Mike Milbury and Jack Hoff in Miramax Pictures' The Untalented Mr. Milbury.
1) When in Rochester NY, I coached the high school team. We went undefeated in both regular season and playoffs and won the championship.

2) I had a defenceman who played for me called Jack Hoff. He went on to Colgate University and there he saw a defenceman named Mike Milbury.

3) Jack came back to Rochester that summer and said "Don there’s a guy who plays for Colgate named Milbury and I think you’de like him."

4) A short time later, I went to the Boston Bruin meetings regarding the draft and I asked if there was a guy named Mulberry around here.

5) Nobody knew anybody named Mulberry. As the meeting broke up one of the scouts said you must mean Mike Milbury, he’s not very good.

6) . I said well draft him and invite him anyhow. We drafted Mike and Mike went on to play great for us for 10 years. Not only that,

7) he coached the Bruins and he was a GM in the NHL. Now he’s a famous broadcaster. Think about it, he came close to not being drafted

8) cause I thought his name was Mulberry.

The Village Voice calls The Untalented Mr. Milbury a, "laugh out loud farce for the ages! Jack Hoff is a master of the bait and switch!"
NBC movie critic emeritus Gene Shalit calls it "a bore, with actors that look like they're sniffing glue out there."
Dan Saraceni of Lighthouse Hockey gives the movie "Two Grapes Out of Five" and says, "I didn't make this up, I swear. And if I did, I would have come up with a better name than 'Jack Hoff.'"
