"CONGRATS NEW YORK!" the weekend Modell's Sporting Goods ad says.
To which we say: THANKS!
Thank you @modells for this wonderful #monday #content. #blessed RT @NYIslesNation: pic.twitter.com/kFXTsSZF5W

Look, these things are going to happen, as Must Have Product Now! logistics can be dificult when the sporting outcome is not guaranteed -- despite what so many Smurfs fans (and Isles' woe-is-our-apocalypse fans) would've had you believe heading into Game 7.
That said, no the Rangers did not win Game 7 Friday. Instead, deliciously, they were shut out for the second time in a row on home ice, losing a Game 7 at Madison Square Garden and turning every narrative about clutchitude and *Henrik Lundqvist's magic and Nash Is Back and what-have-you on its head.
*I actually feel for Lundqvist, who is amazing, but still must cheer his chase of the "best goalie to never win a Cup" honor. Your fan hate mileage may vary.
I now pray for the misinformed third-world children who will receive all those ugly, inaccurate t-shirts.
Anyway, aside from the graphics that went with it, I couldn't say it any better than the Modell's ad did: Congrats New York! And congrats to the 2015 Eastern Conference Champions!
Woo! Ding-dong, the witch is dead. It is now safe for summer.
P.S. Congrats to Dan Boyle too! It's really worked out for the best for everybody.
