Islanders vs. Capitals Game 6 Set for 3 p.m. on NBC

With two teams evading elimination in Thursday night's NHL playoff games, there are four contests set for Saturday, April 25. Among those, Game 6 in the New York Islanders vs. Washington Capitals series has been set for 3 p.m. EDT on NBC.

That means that if the Islanders don't win both remaining games in the series, the final game in Nassau Coliseum's history would be nationally televised Saturday.

But the announcement means another tradition has already ended: MSG Isles broadcasts from the Coliseum are now done. That means, as he so eloquently explained earlier this week, that longtime stats man Eric Hornick and the many behind the scenes have done their last MSG broadcast from "the best seat in the house."

No matter how the rest of this series goes, the signs of a finale are near.
