So we got that out of the way then.

Anders Lee fought Tom Wilson early in Game 5, their first encounter after Wilson knocked Lubomir Visnovsky out of Game 4 and possibly the series with a charge.

Lee isn't a fighter, but his only previous NHL fight was earlier this season against Wilson, one that also began as a tussle before they dropped the gloves.

For "fights create momentum" fans, the Isles immediately exerted offensive pressure afterward and soon scored the game's opening goal. For "fights release tension" fans, the altercation perhaps took care of some of the dues owed Wilson for giving a key Isles player a head injury.

The ledger was even by the first intermission though: After Josh Bailey's goal at 5:48, Evgeny Kuznetsov tied it at 9:05.
