Islanders at Capitals [Stanley Cup Playoff Game #5 Thread]

It's game five of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the Islanders and Capitals and what was once a best of seven series is now a best of three. The Islanders outplayed the Capitals at even strength, but their special teams let them down as they couldn't capitalize on any of their four power play opportunities as the Islanders fell to Washington by a score of two to one. The game wasn't the only thing the Islanders lost.

Lubomir Visnovsky suffered a dreaded "upper body injury" as a result of charging penalty by Tom Wilson. It was announced yesterday that Visnovsky has in fact suffered another concussion and will be out indefinitely. The team is now down two defensemen, both of whom play on the right side. It sounds as though Griffin Reinhart will draw in for him.

Visnovsky isn't the only subtraction from the lineup. Mikhail Grabovski is back in the lineup and it appears that he will be drawing in for Brock Nelson. The third line has hardly been effective this series, but the decision to scratch Nelson is peculiar at best. Anders Lee has been the weak spot on that line and has posted the worst possession numbers on the team since April first without really contributing to the scoring.

Jaroslav Halak will be in net. The Capitals roster will look the same as it did for the last game. Braden Holtby is in net again.
