Resolving the most devastating food shortage since the Irish Potato Famine of the 19th century, the Islanders and Barclays Center have decided who should be footing the bill for meals eaten via the ink-stained fingers of the hockey media.
You may remember this food fight coming to a rolling boil during the preseason. Or maybe you don't. Because who cares?
Anyway, the media members are being fed and the team is picking up the tab.
I think it was resolved a while ago. Well done by Barclays Center now. https://t.co/8ulgZ3zkpH— Tom Gulitti (@TGfireandice) November 3, 2015
Wasn't about money. Most arenas/stadiums charge for the meal. But Isles are nice enough not to charge visiting media https://t.co/m0VxCOThkU— Tom Gulitti (@TGfireandice) November 3, 2015
So, there you go. Good on the Islanders for making it right. Now we can eat in peace.
Ironically, I'm writing this while I'm cooking. Making pork schnitzel with spaetzle and a mushroom gravy. I'll let you know how it turns out.
