Mikhail Grabovski and Nikolay Kulemin were signed in summer 2014 as a pair, and if the two Eastern Bloc Bros want a little taste of home, they picked the right team to join. Brooklyn is home of one of the largest Russian populations in the country* and there's no shortage of places to eat for those who read Cyrillic.
Before this season, Grabovski and Kulemin took MSG Network's Shannon Hogan to one of Brighton Beach's many Russian restaurants, and the group enjoyed some traditional fare while talking about their first season with the team and what they were looking forward to in Brooklyn (besides the food).
The video also includes some language lessons as well as Grabovski letting us in on some Russian/Belorussian meal and holiday customs, most of which included punctuating courses with vodka. But hey, it helps you digest. Yeah, sure, Grabbo.
Although it was shot during the summer, it wouldn't be surprising to find that the hangovers and food comas lasted until Thanksgiving. Man, that's a lot of vodka.
*- I totally made that up. But as a former two-time resident of Brooklyn, I'm confident in saying it feels that way.
