As previewed here yesterday with a short teaser, Islanders forward Cal Clutterbuck appeared on Comedy Central's The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore last night in a segment with comedian Mike Yard in which the hockey guys and the Brooklyn guys exchange insight into the inner workings of their often hilarious natural habitats.
Yard also talks with Matt Martin and a banged-up Casey Cizikas about what this whole hockey thing is before hitting the ice, sometimes literally. He then takes Clutterbuck to an authentic Brooklyn barbershop where the likable Cal makes fans and drops a piece of hockey slang that's way more embarrassing than anyone expected.
The bit is roughly 6,000 times funnier than the John Tavares/Rob Riggle "Brooklyn Blogger" sketch from the NHL Awards Show that went over about as well as I'm With Busey.
Here's the segment. I still kinda wish Clutterbuck had actually gotten a haircut, though.
