Some people spend their time on airplanes reading magazines, watching TV or playing video games. Fortunately for Islanders fans, Arthur Staple of Newsday doesn't own a Nintendo 3DS and spent his flight to Detroit answering questions on Twitter and not playing 3D After Burner II (which is what I would be doing).
There weren't a whole lot of earth-shattering revelations in this installment, but a few of Staple's answers shed a little extra light on some recent Islanders events.
As always, we thank Arthur for opening the floor and taking the questions. See more of Arthur's Twitter feed (@StapeNewsday) for his music and food recommendations.
On the Parade of Legends passing through Nassau Coliseum:
@Keith_Dallas I wouldn't say "in awe," but Smith is a rare sight around the team. Probably interesting to hear him talk.

@SBerman1027 From what I understand, he's a hard man to track down.

On when we will next see The Invisible Man, back-up goalie Chad Johnson:
@deekay31 I think CJ will get his games in back-to-backs and other spot starts. He's the backup. That's what backups get.

On Jaroslav Halak's recent misadventures in puckhandling:
@RDNHL More concerned with communication and D-men telling him where to send the puck.
— Arthur Staple (@StapeNewsday) January 30, 2015
On the always-concerning penalty kill:
@DSpogolf They do make some adjustments, even if they don't keep me up to date. They can get this back to at least an acceptable level.
— Arthur Staple (@StapeNewsday) January 30, 2015
@njalbanese He's in the rotation. Perhaps he'll move up since a few others aren't performing as well.
— Arthur Staple (@StapeNewsday) January 30, 2015
On Casey Cizikas, who was clearly hobbled versus the Bruins:
@IslesThoughts Don't think he's more than just banged up.
— Arthur Staple (@StapeNewsday) January 30, 2015
On Kyle Okposo's sudden injury:
@RobPriest Think everyone thought it was something much more minor.
— Arthur Staple (@StapeNewsday) January 30, 2015
On Cal Clutterbuck, who now wears the alternate captain's "A" in Okposo's absence.
@esd714 Coaching staff.

On contract negotiations with... everybody:
@Keith_Dallas No, but all someone has to do is say yes and then it's really imminent. Haven't heard anything.
— Arthur Staple (@StapeNewsday) January 30, 2015
@Jdolan1 I'm sure they would love that... I'd guess more like 5-6.
— Arthur Staple (@StapeNewsday) January 30, 2015
@davidcohen17 Probably more $$, given what he already makes (2.5).
— Arthur Staple (@StapeNewsday) January 30, 2015
On the future of the team's ECHL affiliation:
@cultureoflosing I'm sure they'll try to find an ECHL affiliate again, maybe closer to home.
— Arthur Staple (@StapeNewsday) January 30, 2015
Somehow, it always comes back to food:
@eathischildren Good food in the concourse.
— Arthur Staple (@StapeNewsday) January 30, 2015
@run_IMW Tampa, Carolina, Toronto, Boston among the better ones.
