It's just preseason and all that standard disclaimer, but that was Dougie Hamilton (he of the "Denis Potvin is impressed" pedigree) and David Krejci (he of the six-year, $43.5 million extension) that Kyle Okposo shook off with ease in Tuesday night's preseason game in Boston.
Okposo capped it off with a nice fake shot that drew Jeremy Smith out of position in the Bruins crease, while Krejci's late chop did not disrupt enough to prevent the goal.
The goal gave the Islanders a 2-1 lead in a game they eventually won, 5-3. Okposo celebrated his tally with preseason-appropriate stoicism.
The real games are just 10 days away.
