The Islanders returned home from a six-game road trip, one they finished 4-2 after yesterday's come-from-ahead loss in Philadelphia.
Today they have a chance to make amends at home. Anders Nilsson will start in net, while the defense remains the same and the choice between Peter Regin or Eric Boulton will apparently ride on a game-time decision determined by whether John Tortorella finds it acceptable.

No matter what happens today, tomorrow or the next day, it's pretty cool that Lubomir Visnovsky has returned to practice, a major step in his recovery from a concussion suffered in October. A smiling Viz:
"I feel like a hockey player right now because when I wake up, my legs are sore, not just my head. My body feels like it did before and it’s a great feeling. I am happy to skate with the guys."
This is your matinee game thread. (Today is the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday in the U.S., which is why some are playing hockey and some are getting to watch.)
