Tonight is the second-to-last warmup for real games for the New York Islanders, who play their only preseason game at Nassau Coliseum against the Nashville Predators.
The start of the game has been delayed to 7:23 due to those tardy Preds landing late.
Per Arthur Staple of Newsday this morning, the lineup and combos look like this...
Moulson - Tavares - Bailey
Grabner - Nielsen - Lee
Nelson - Regin - Bouchard
Martin - Cizikas - McDonald
Hickey - Visnovsky
MacDonald - Hamonic
Strait - Donovan
...which looks very close to how their opening night lineup should look, barring further injury or a sudden declaration of lack of smarts by one player or another.
On that note (the injury note, not "smahts"), Anders Lee is there in Kyle Okposo's spot, but Okposo is cleared for contact and expected to play in one of Sunday's split-squad games against the Ottawa Senators.
Evgeni Nabokov starts tonight, and coach Jack Capuano said he is expected to play the full game. These two franchises faced off earlier in the week, another shutout loss for the Isles, but that roster was nowhere near the threat the Islanders are dressing tonight.
