Last night was a roller coaster, where bad bounces and moves first haunted and then favored the Islanders. The 4-3 final was probably fair based on the flow of play, though the route to get there was unpredictable. Playoffs.
Some video post-game reactions include:
Above, Matt Moulson was on the NHL Network's in-arena satellite interview, where he was able to share a little glee about how the Coliseum will be for a playoff game. Good of him to take the time for the interview while waiting to meet a guy about some stuff.
Below, TSN interviews John Tavares, asking the usual about "what message" was sent and "what's it mean" and all that:
Come to think of it, Moulson and Tavares were the pre-game interview targets too, Moulson by NBC and Tavares by ... TSN maybe? (Can't remember.)
And here's Penguins coach Dan Bylsma's post-game presser:
- He said don't let the early score fool you, the Isles "came out hard." The "score [at 2-0 and 3-1] was not indicative of the game."
- He also felt Marc-Andre Fleury was "under siege" much of the night due to the Islanders' pressure.
- He used Jussi Jokinen with Evgeni Malkin later in the game for Jokinen's help on the draw.

Late additions: A quickie with one of the game's hero, Kyle Okposo:
And finally, the Stan and Nabby show, which was more subdued this time:
More to come throughout the weekend. You do know Game 3 is Sunday at mid-day, yes? Time flies in the playoffs.
