Islanders Bits: Tavares, Okposo Square Off in Canada vs. USA

"USA sucks." | "Canada sucks."
"USA sucks." | "Canada sucks."

It's just day two of the IIHF World Championship, but already traditional rivals Canada and USA are squaring off at noon EDT, featuring Islanders first-line(?) forwards John Tavares and Kyle Okposo on opposite sides.

American terrestrial viewers can watch it, but on tape-delay tonight at 10:30 EDT on NBC Sports [TV Schedule]. So Americans, either put yourself in media blackout or celebrate the Kentucky Derby so hard you forget you saw the score. Rest of the world, feel free to fill everyone in via comments.

Scott Cullen's always interesting Off-Season Game Plan, for the Isles:

Needs: Three top nine forwards, one top four defenceman, two more defencemen, backup goaltender.

So anyway, for the regular LHH commentariat, consider this the open thread for today's NHL and IIHF and CHL hockey watching.
