The Bridgeport Sound Tigers again try to end their winless streak, with games in Albany at 5 p.m. Saturday and home to Syracuse at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Well they have full-time captains now, and half a dozen games without Brandon DeFazio. Such is the change as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers look to end what has become a seven-game winless streak.

As announced Friday, Colin McDonald will wear the "C," with assistance from Casey Cizikas and Matt Watkins (tonight and every night on the road) and Jon Landry (tomorrow and every time at home). More talk of the captains from Michael Fornabaio here.

It's easy to look at the two games this weekend and decide which one presents the better opportunity to end the slide: The Albany Devils are last in the conference at 5-8-0-5 and haven't done well at home. They've brought Stephen "The Other" Gionta back and are without Adam Henrique, whose injured thumb keeps him out into 2013.

Meanwhile, Syracuse leads the conference at 14-5-1-1. As of Saturday morning, they've scored the most goals in the AHL with 79. They smashed Hamilton 5-1 on Friday night, colorfully described in the Post-Standard here.

The Sound Tigers look to be without Travis Hamonic and David Ullstrom Friday due to injuries. (And it's worth remembering every now and then, this roster is without Calvin de Haan and Kirill Kabanov thanks to long-term injuries too.)

Here's hoping those that remain finally salvage a win.
