Bits: Anders Lee, Juice, Poulin: Wednesday hockey thread

Since the Coliseum post will no doubt garner discussion as that 11 a.m. press conference goes live, here's a post to discuss on-ice topics. Among them:

  • The Red Wings schooled the Sharks last night, yet needed a third-period comeback to force Game 7. That's hockey, baby. [Winging it in Motown rejoices | Fear the Fin fears]
  • IIHF: Big quarterfinals today as the Czechs take on the U.S. (My heart weeps.) Sweden also takes on Germany. And if you're bored -- why would you be bored today? -- get your Slovak hockey trivia on.
  • Speaking of uncertain future news, Glendale approved its stay-of-execution plan for the Coyotes.
  • Paul Holmgrem's end-of-season presser was interesting, with reporters trying to corner him on a few pressing Flyers issues.
  • The NHL finally announced the Conference Finals schedule, and my goodness it stretches to the end of May.
  • Jaromir Jagr wants to renew ties to the Penguins, though not necessarily on the ice.
  • This isn't a firm rule, but for general clarity's sake please discuss hockey here and the Coliseum proposal, press conference, and referendum in the next thread.
