Islanders Intrasquad Scrimmage [open thread]: Streit injured

UPDATE: Mark Streit was injured during today's scrimmage, taking a fairly mild but awkward hit from Matt Moulson along the boards that appeared to jar his arm or (hopefully not) shoulder. (Gordon confirms: shoulder). He stayed down, then got up and left the ice immediately. By body language, it did not look good (sprain? separation?), but hopefully it was just a stinger. Gordon told Katie Strang they should know more after the weekend.

The Islanders play the Islanders this morning at the Coliseum, and while I got a bit of my Ticketmaster hate on in yesterday's mini-post, of course you can always get $10 tickets the old-fashioned (and inconvenience fee-free) way: at the box office.

            

The Islanders posted the projected lines. Notably absent are Kyle Okposo (shoulder), Doug Weight (shoulder rest?) and Frans Nielsen (hip), who are among those nursing injuries. In goal, it appears Dwayne Roloson will get a full start while Rick DiPietro and Mikko Koskinen may split time at the other end.

Those lines from the Islanders are posted after the jump, with P.A. Parenteau skating with Blake Comeau and John Tavares. (For the first time, I noticed P.A. Parenteau has Tambellini's old number; I hope that's not an omen.) Also notice the two biggest D prospects, Calvin de Haan and Travis Hamonic, are paired with veteran newcomers on opposite teams. Meanwhile, Trevor Gillies and roommate Kirill Kabanov are spare forwards on the Orange, while Mark Katic and Anton Klementyev are the spare D on either side.
